Fire Order, Remedial & Apartment Refurbishment

Constructed in the 1960’s on Narrabeen beach the building was subject to a fire order and major remedial works. A number of apartments took advantage of these works to carry out internal renovations. One of the top floor apartments was completely renovated by CMS and was the 2020 winner of the NSW Master Builders Award for Best Home Unit Renovation Up to $1 Million.

Access and limited working space whilst keeping most apartments available for occupation presented daily challenges. Daily communication with all stakeholders and continuous changes to temporary access requirements made this project challenging.

This remedial and fire order project was extremely complex and involved a commercial mindset. Despite the difficulties, the project was completed on time and on budget, with an attractive and highly regarded result for the owners.
